sounds in the dark

Post by the mingo » May 25th, 2011, 2:38 am

there are sounds in the dark
music & voices too far away
to be made out
the very house I'm in
makes noises all night long
pretending at being a woman showing me
her tattoos & explaining what each means
turning her body this way & that
I just want to tell her what beauty
is in her hair
but i'll have to wait for her to finish
telling on all her tattoos
as the dark goes on
with all the sounds
that are in it
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

excellant! stories and tats- tit for tat- sweet
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

sounds like a job for the Ghostbusters....but then again some noises are comforting, give life to the dead quiet in your mind.......

saw - would that my mind would ever get to be dead quiet but don't think that's happenin' this side of the grave. Can't ever go anywhere or do anything without this thing turning over inside of you, bubbling away, neurons firing and bam bing boo boo...silence from it, wouldn't that be something?

as the dark goes on
with all the sounds
that are in it
love the ending lines Mr Mingo, i see the beginning of another poem, so much can go on in the dark and it's journey to the light.

thx, maree, I confess I did cut some lines off of this when I first laid down the bones of it. End of a long day when this one happened & I was too tired and too lazy to deal with it. Perceptive of you. 8)
