sits up front
confronts the masses
approaching each customer that passes

Sometimes, she succeeds and gets her lead!
She’s after the cash
just like everyone else, she needs.

She’s got a story similar to me
her companion
life partner
to death
she lost.

Susan has a story
just have to do a little friendly exploring
the one whose path
daily I cross
a woman’s story
carelessly,
I almost tossed.

I, too well
know her pain
just a little chit-chat
during the day
one with the same mundane routine.

The day I learned of her familiar pain
the day a bond began to grow
more I got to know.

Did you know she’s a song writer
a little lighter
unknown fact.

I've read this a number of times, and really like it....it reminds me of some relationships I struck up with homeless folks when I was rehabbing houses in the city.....interesting characters, everyone....sometimes their worlds turned upside down by a simple twist of fate.......nice work butterfly

This was literally a text message response to a co-worker that was being a little less than kind. Just a quick reply to remind that we have no right to judge, in my role as spokesperson for the underdog! I told you that I am aflicted by rhyme and my thougts have a rythem. I unfortunately and most often lack the patience or skill in arranging them into something beautiful.
