deep jeep glue

Post by the mingo » June 10th, 2011, 9:36 am

soon she will come
and bring me my jeep
then i will run her back to work
and drop her off then i will go get some glue
because i need glue more than
anything else at the moment
more than women or sky or
a paycheck or deserts where
the snakes go forward by going sideways
& i'll use the glue to hold
different things together because
i need something to freeze that gypsy motion
beyond it's alloted time and the jeep can
help me do this because you always need
something born for war
to live deep
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

never know which way the feather will lurch and flutter on the currents of these free association rides. dig this one, especially the "forward by going sideways" part...

please pardon my mindless rambles
I would not have tagged your poem if I did not like it a lot.

I need glue too
the glue that holds all the tiny pieces together
the atoms that come together
cling together to create me
what is that mysterious mystical glue
At quite uncertain times and places,
The atoms left their heavenly path,
And by fortuitous embraces,
Engendered all that being hath.
And though they seem to cling together,
And form 'associations' here,
Yet, soon or late, they burst their tether,
And through the depths of space career.

the "deep jeep" is a commitment like no other, ha.....the older you get, the more you are aware of what that means, the commitment, the baggage, the compromise, the need to have alone time.......and all that needs to be glued into a compressed sheet of understanding........
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

I vote for the snakes
We should not mind if on our ear there fell. Some less of cunning, more of oracle...Thoreau

I lied to you mingo
not for some reason
I knew the reason
I did not want to go that deep
again into the things born for war
deliberate digression

sorry
I did not want to harsh your mellow
she will come
that was the best part
