blue bomb

Post by still.trucking » June 11th, 2011, 11:33 am

my little window on the world
my little thaumaturgical writing machine
here on studio eight
where I truck on the information highway
with the disembodied poets of studio eight

I lie to you
I say for some reason a Lena Horne song comes to mind
but I know exactly the reason that song came to mind
even if human behaviour is over determined
there are root causes
deep down in the soul of the beast
that filter through the poor frightened child's psychological

defenses.

The things made for war
are the things we make for death
and hester prynne wondered what is it about men and their love for machines.

I thought of that song because I wanted to think about the

things made for life

I was changing the subject because of revulsion

I am going to embrace war
stop fearing it
and love the bomb

We need war because discover so much about the human body from it.

We learn how to treat traumatic brain injuries
Battlefield surgeons staff our hospitals

so many good things we learn from war

and we make wonderful machines

got to love our machines

I wish I had a horse to hug

or even better the John Deere of India.

the things that glue us together
we were made for war
I remake myself
stick a few more free radicals to the tiny pieces
new thoughts
down by the riverside

a jeep is a jeep is a jeep

a sweet machine

good in deep snow
useless on ice

I think about the gifts
the deep blessings of war
jeeps
yes it is all worth it

what is your peace of mind worth to me?
Can I unsay this

Peace is war
it has worked for us a long time
keeps the wheels of industry turning

War is freedom
we only fight a war to gain liberty

now there is a lie I would like to believe
more like we fight a war to protect our luxuries these days
but we must honor the warrior spirit
be nice if we did not abuse them with bullshit wars.

When is the last time the godless red chinese fought a war, other than a civil war? Tibet I guess, Korea? How do they manage to stay out of the crusades?
