Meditate. Medicate.

Post by Doreen Peri » July 2nd, 2011, 4:47 pm

My doctor told me to meditate.

But I thought he said to medicate.

So I'm cross-legged sitting

trying to determine which pill is fitting.

There are so many to choose from
,
for goodness sake,

except the ones I can't afford.

Oh save me, Lord!

Please visit me at the nuthouse

or at the wake.

jeez, just one consonant, so close, so far..
a game of inches... they got lucky on that one,
all those baseball writers when they "coined"
that phrase...

keep on truckin', doreen
(yes, i heard that dead song on the radio today...)

I think this poem needs mediation. :)

all things in moderation gives us a well rounded approach to keeping the train on the tracks, and derailment is good humble pie to eat, as long as it doesn't kill you, ahh, what do I know..........enjoyed the ride doreen.....may we all find the right "drug".........

Doreen, your poem reminds us that some
medication requires meditation before use!
Love this one. Hang in there, we love you! 8) :D

excellent poem but what do I know about poetry

my doctor went out to break a pill for me and died
my dead doctor was a sweet guy
I could tell he was one of those that would work his self to death one day
I thought he was in his forties, but the obit said 51

in the meantime
"one pill makes me large..."
one pill makes me scared
Go ask Alice or
call 1-800-bad-drug

Sorry doreen I had a good time with your poem, it must have been a pretty good poem in deed
to make ramble on like this
