There are more pics. Nancy took them all since my camera is still on the outs from the soaking it took on the Black River last weekend. But that's all for now. If I were still in the mountains I'd be asleep by now. 'Nite, Doll.

Yes, with you helping I'm seeing it.
Not only is your world enriched, but now mine, too.
All this beautiful stuff is the really good stuff to feed souls,
I mean you're right and people should be doing more of water and natures and less of what they're doing instead.

P.S. Do you think it's an o.k. thing to post these privaties? I don't want to spoil anything of her with my posting these intimate things. What says you?

It was a much needed day to love.
Nobodies wants much love these days, but Lucy was a joy to be around
and sometimes it's what I likes to do. Thanks to her holding my hand today.

I have some pics of wood excursions, too.
I'll post them in a little whiles. I needed today, I was escaping what's dark and nothing was dark when I went out that door. I left it all behinds me.
Felt so good. Prolly like you feel out there the past few days.

It felt...yes, it felt good but ... more. Something different ... like it was a glimpse of something ... something that is not here yet and is not within mankind's power to ever bring about ... something not escapist but a looking forward towards the unknowable - toward a place that is timeless. A place where six of one/half dozen of another does not exist. A place where what is mortal will be swallowed up by life.
Does not sound like sense, does it? I suppose i go too often far afield most times.

yes, i did feel better - like being closer to something. not so much hemmed in by life. Floating in a craft that is deeply sensitive to your every move, even down to your breathing does things to your state of mind. To mine anyway.
Damn got to rambling.

But, I say it that way, mingo, only cause it's the thing to be sure of, not to limit myself to it though. I know I'm interesting. ppp

Be careful out there in the storm.

I don't think we'll see any of Irene here, but we are worried about her sending tornadoes this way. I'll be thinking about you.
Looks like rain.

Yeah, rain and wind. Love the wind when it's up like this and been going all day strong. After I got the kayaks buttoned up and chairs and whatnot out of the yard just been hanging in the lodge watching movies mostly and doin' some reading on the 'puter. Ran across a book by a man named Howard Zinn titled a People's History of the United States that has hooked my interest. Hey I just got done with a book you really really really should take a look at titled The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter & Sweet by Jamie Ford - I just finished it - read it every night in the tent when we were camping - what a read ! Heatin' up leftovers for feast. No tornadoes here but wind we have in spades. Catch you down the line, Doll.

Sounds like a perfect way to be in a storm, watching movies (what did you watch)? and reading a book. I looked up that one from Jamie...sounds really good to me.

From looking too long at Melville's notes. Stuck on page 165.
