the amphitheater plays the sadness of time

Post by Kailashana » September 23rd, 2011, 12:02 pm

The sadness of time falls without whimper
there are no beginnings
there are no endings
when the curtain is drawn back
and it rains

If I tie a yellow ribbon around an old oak
tree, will the valley of death rise and shine
with even stranger fruit than I can bear?

I have loved and I have lost the look in your eyes,
I have drawn lines to this poem.

touching imagery that narrates the reality of unrequited love with grace....
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
