Pretending

Post by Shem » March 1st, 2005, 4:34 pm

Aww shit.
I really don’t want to keep punching that damn clock.
I mean how do people do it?
really, if you know let me in on the secret.
I see people that appear contented,
it seems like a nice state to be in
I however wouldn’t know.
I keep looking to that other damn grass
you would think I would have learned by now.
It would appear I am becoming a cynic which is worrying,
but look around,
all you see is madness
how do they deal?
Or better yet escape, or is that even possible
And if so at what cost?
What did Bukowski pay, how about Rimbaud, Poe?
What about the good doctor who fought so long?
if there is victory here it is empty.
Hell, where do you even begin to fight?
Even if you can somehow summon the strength
there’s just too many targets
too much injustice.
Maybe its best after all just to walk off and leave it all behind
but ignoring problems very rarely make them go away.
So what’s the answer? I really don’t know.
I guess I’ll just keep writing down little random bits
of synaptic energy
and pretend.

Please do!
Keep the "random bits" coming.
I sure do dig them.
I sure do relate.

Nice goin Shem.
