cerebral intercourse

Post by saw » October 15th, 2011, 8:52 am

I walked in every thunderstorm
despite the predictions of doom
or gloomy destiny without even
a yellow slicker of protection

so I could feel firsthand the rain-
drops of life that leach into cob-webbed
pores saturating the latent neurotic dust
that accumulates in the corner, tuned in

to the brother self that craves a killer
sunrise brighter than a baby's smile,
I walked across the desert without
an umbrella of safety to shield my eyes

so I could double dare the sun to sear
the sleeping receptors that spark
the initiative to throw off the blankets,
sparks that convince an atrophied ass

to flex its muscles, sparks that get tree-
trunked feet out of bed, on to the floor
sparks that ignite the drapery of immobility
sparks that melt the morbid apathy

of men like a rock-hard Popsicle
ignored on the july sidewalk, sparks
that sting the protected skull
over and over, and over again

the hornets of imagination, reckless
undulating abdomens, injecting neo-life
into a karloffian body, the only known
antidote to paralyzed dreams and frozen accounts

sparks that light the spirit walkway
sparks of wasp-like zest
sparks that heat my discontentment
with every single spastic penetration
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

yes... something's happening...

can we reclaim a little of our soul from the wasteland of greed? break the hypnosis? embrace our own life-stirring storm?

cool ....

beautiful
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
