... dust ...

Post by the mingo » November 17th, 2011, 12:22 pm

I can never forget
that no matter where
no matter when
no matter why
the dust
always wins

did not mean to make light of your poem steve

the meanings ran deep into my thoughts of the grave and the dust on abraham lincoln's black frock coat.

Surrender to the dust
sooner or later I guess
it was a good poem, a little spot of undusty surface shinny in my mind.

you can make fun to your heart's content, Jack. You know me and I'm far from being serious about my shit and, heaven knows, I make fun. So, no worries on that score. Glad ya liked. 8)

good stuff! it was true for genghis khan. if it's good enough for that noble, yet oft-times misunderstood, mongolian - then it's good enough for me.

(the way i've heard it - dust in mongolia comes in large galloping hordes)

we don't do dust here
but if we did
it'd be disguised as sand
