Confessions of an ebay Junkie

Hooked and crying for help
O it's a habit all right, yet
unlike drugs or alcohol there
is something to show for the
money and I do take solace in
this fact.

Nah it's all deeper than that, it's
about the ever growing favorites
list and the bidding wars that ensue.
Watch lists that are constantly
watched and bid histories checked
into like the racing sheets of some
thoroughbred betting junkie and I
am just that, ebay junkie supreme.

Somewhere out there a program awaits
me and with the strength of God on my
side I will be cured of my addiction,
I will hope to deal with the problem,
forget about the latest Beat poetry bargains,
the next exotic instrument going for the
price of a banana split or the next signed
Henry Miller print someone wants to give
away. Ya know what, on second thought this
is an addiction I'm gonna live with, bring on
the auctions, I love em! Let the bidding wars
begin.

There's help out there, Mark.

In fact, there is a group for internet junkies. It's like AA or NA only it's called IJA.

Thing is, it's sorta like having an AA meeting at a bar or an NA meeting on the street corner downtown.

They meet online.
