I'd like to love you
but i have no thumbs
& i'm raining today
my milk rhythms are all kiltered
and the pumpkin-headed plastic skeleton man
ain't been out his closet
in years
he remembers the two old women
living on top the hill who
fed him cookies & milk that
he sat there & ate & listened to their stories
while everyone else
was so young
pumpkin-headed plastic skeleton man
pumpkin-headed plastic skeleton man
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

I really like this poem and I have no clue why.

Re: pumpkin-headed plastic skeleton man
As Anna said, the poem has an appeal that's hard to pin down.....infers perhaps to simpler times when we all were naive about the possibilities for pain....intriguing
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
you may end up where you are heading
