until the last rounding, dosed him with morphine
an told him my heart was with him.

and anyway, i think he will survive.

so i can commiserate
and offer empathy.

Your post on one of the jamsabout the kotex and the blood frozen in amber, I wish I had said, "I know, I know, I know. Not all them old ladies and and old men are sick and dying, some sound pretty dam cheerful and full of life. I wonder if they are the grandparents of this generation of vipers.

but it's my past man, what i survived.
so i can commiserate
and offer empathy.
an why th rose water foundation

here sit down here on loser's beach with all the other betas and I scribble. when you say your dad has not spoke to you in thirty years, that is your step dad? not sure how much biology has to do with insanity, I got plenty to dread, but I want to ride my motorsickle, don't need a tickle

just jamming

thinking about a scotsman and a irsih a welshman a anglo, those bloody little islands, and the bloody holy land. my mission to scribble. and answer the phone.

shalom amigo, hard for me to leave one of your posts hanging
but I knew you back in the good old days before the wore, I think we used to be friends, and watching nascar is almost as interesting as watching paint dry, but those white trash scotch-irish hillbillies those old moon shine runners, they have conquered the road to shang gri la and now the sea change is over, who will be our first woman president, I hope she has the reflexes of a nascar driver. gimme a ferrari at monza with wolfgang von triipps on my back door, and shit I am late for work, talk at you later

I'm reading some of Kurt's books now. I like his writing.

There was one part in that book that you mention that had me laughing so hard....I laughed for 15 minutes straight I'll bet, it was silliness but oh how it made me laugh. It was a good book.

When I was down in Arizona for the winter, oh, back in '95 or '96, I worked with a lady who was 83.....fricking 83 years old and still working, I was amazed. She said that with the cost of medical and her bit of a pension she just couldn't make ends meet. That's a crying shame man. She worked like a dog all her life, and could she work, she made the rest of us look like pikers. I think she was happy tho, just making the best of things as we all must. Some of those old gals hold up pretty good, I should be so lucky.

Hope you don't mind my sticking my head into your thread.

Backing out now.
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

"Samaritrophia" hysterical indifference to the troubles of those less fortunate than oneself.

that is probably my favorite bit from Rosewater.

Mousey she sounded strong, she called in for some add on TV, those adds can be very tricky, sometimes I feel uncomfortable I don't want to sign anyone up for anything that is not clear to them as to "what it is". She saw through all the rhetorical twists and turns, I didn't have to explain anything to her. I really enjoyed talking to her. I hope your eighty three year old working woman had a geezer at home to massage her feet and rub her aching back. Not too many cheerful old geezers calling in. Now I realize what I been doing the past twenty five years. Saving it up for one good old woman somewhere.

I been wondering who it was that Saul met on that road. I know it wasn't a Buddha. If she believes that when she dies Paul and Peter will meet her at the gate...what can I say, what can we do.
Validate her ticket to ride the glory train?
I think john prine got it right, "try to find jesus on your own"
George Bush speaks and I see a moldy corpse emaciated, dessicated with maggots, the book about haiku you mentioned Seeds From A Birch Tree, he mentions how he grew up among the flowers nd the trees and a loving nature. I grew up in alleys with dead rats with maggots. Those dead rats are beautiful to me now. I have something to compare the words of our dear leader too.
Heaven or hell or simetimes I don't even know. Why wait to go to heaven to go fishing, Tampa is on the gulf coast I think, the salty Gulf of Mexico, My captain once told me that it is very bad luck to whistle on a boat. Lets go fishing jim.
Your art and words are here and now what else matters?

that lathe of heaven fascinates me. I think of myself turning on it with the blade shaping me to fit this moment in time.

Oh I looked it up an Samaritrophia means to love all. Samariphobia wouild be aversion to samaritan acts.
Otherwise, I think Saul fell off his ass onto his ass.
That;s why he had the epiphany and conversion.

Here's Zaul with some other beings.
Your guess is as good as mine.

I read the Vonnegut deal about Slaughterhouse Five.....will have ta check out the Rosewater Foundation.
Don't wanna be lleft out oif th conversiion!

We be fishers of bums.
