negate the preposterous

Post by revolutionrabbit » February 6th, 2012, 2:09 am

the little tramp
the off ramp
the cramp
vamp
over amp

the magic lamp
in a view between two mountains
the inside of her damp

It's not that it would have been nothing at all
it's that in the sense that I would have known
nothing at all, in the face of whatever it is...

a newspaper opens itself like a whore's thighs
we are all fucked when we read the headlines
there are times when the poet will say anything
rather then tolerate the vacuum of language
or is it that he, or she has come to that point
where one simply has to negate the preposterous
"oh my"

If a rock exploded inside my mind, would I paint it?
if the orange became as big as the moon
would I paint it in the middle of a poem
if a poem fell in the woods, would anybody read it
if I crushed my thoughts out in the ashtray of it
would anybody see the meaning of it, in the way the
smudges of it layered one over the other?

we are looking at the future through
the past darkly, they are erasing history
as fast as you can get a green gum ball
out of the gum ball machine

I read Burroughs, because naked
lunch, gave me a hunch about secrets
hidden in plane sight, the flash in the
hash pipe, all pan pipes fly home
one two three punch

the dream machine in your dream
is outside of the dream, simply because
it is the object that makes the dream--
watch the hypnotic lights swirl around
enter the snake that eats its own tail
oh well, oh well, oh well, she swallowed me
right on down...rainbow lightning, strike
me again, state I'm in...oh lord!

umpire universe
the vampire state building
the postage stamp
with the picture of the Graf Zeppelin
the Great Dictator--spins the world
the great junky writer-cuts up
his inner thoughts-inside
orgone box
paradox
falling rocks
lead balloon
goes over
like god in a book
"lets have a look"
all my base are loaded
three strike, last inning
aeon fast spit curve ball
the jugglers of civilization
sarsaparilla,blind-lemon-killa, suthfering suthccotash

truth be told i really like this- what a beat- druming- at any rate i really will read this a few more times! awesome
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

great rumbling pace and hip delivery certainly honor the beats of the beat, as it were......the touch of rhyme and the wordplay work really well....a pleasure
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
