nuts poets

Post by revolutionrabbit » February 29th, 2012, 5:35 am

when I first began writing spit shine
the word poetry popped up
so I was in the glass bead game
I was lost to the sound of pork pie hat
found myself on the Frisco streets
looking for City Lights book store
We were searching for dangerous books
foraging deep into the stacks for the lightning
for the stone of Rimbaudian philosophy
the magicians lived in the passages of poets
the word was deep and so was the sun
music was snaking through the library of sharks
the moon was as round as a neon radio dial
surrealism was at the center of the Babylon
library, the same Egyptian tomb vault of eternity
opens, when that marvelous monument moves
through the underground language of paradise
serpents are eating the tails of love in tall grass
the poets of revolution have arrived at the nick of time
taking on the bodies of the party of the cat head gods...
the interchangeable heads of jackals and birds, Lo!
we enter the river of rainbow cosmos juggle balls
the poet gods move around like pieces in a Duchamp
chess board, we are the urinals of Jupiter, we are nuts

cracking walnuts in a nutcracker
brings me home to the writing kind-
liked this one
nice
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
