rain rain rain

it has been raining for a few days now
the river swells like the lips of a lover
pomergranate juice all over my tongue
dripping nectars of God
so loud
nurture the earth mother
i heard you scream accross the sea
hurt my ear
but so long ago i stopped listening
to those little rats in the roof
the plant vines are taking one tree at a time
tea leaves discuss the future of the hawaiian kingdom

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
