today the psychedelic

Post by revolutionrabbit » March 8th, 2012, 8:47 pm

today
the psychedelic mirrors all folded in on themselves
and I'm listening to Embryonic Journey
and John Lee Hooker sing The Healer, too
the Christmas lights in the body of the snake
went down the riverbed and cried to the blues
nothing is as it seems and the little plastic
peek trinket, finally saw all the way to the moon
old paper back poetry books stacked to the stars
out on the desert floor were speaking to the crows
nobody knows how the world will look tomorrow
nobody knows how the idiot wind blows
Hendrix still singing the wind cries Mary
in my purple haze days, gone before they began
it's kinda scary that all that electric fury feed backs
signaling before the computer revolution storm

here today, gone tomorrow like a Thunderbird bottle
God is everything we don't know about nothing
but the Buddha's found in the mountain's word
are still meditating on the breath of the wild one
nobody knows how many poets it takes to change
the direction that things are going, knows the
moment the universe wrote its great poem
the one the was left there by some cosmic bum
by the side of the road to eternity
like a red Tibetan poppywort flower holding tranquility

today, nothing is as it seems, and seems as if it is nothing
we are all holding the bag left by the boogie bag man
and inside is what the cat dragged in
the Pope just got hacked by the smiling mask in the crowd
and another cloud looks suspicious, marching across the sky
I ain't superstitious when a black cat cross my trail
but I really wonder what became of the holy blood grail
all that fake body of christ they been feeding the amorphous masses
you wonder why all the saints and all the sinners
are still such beginner minds, and outta sight, outta mind, is still cool
