the feel of water--dripping from the hair
the sun light is hidden behind the clouds
gray is here for days
the road becomes water road becomes river
taro patches full and over flowing

accross the world perhaps
things seem more important
then if your car is going to the ocean today
alone
the people closer to where it floods
ride surfboards to the front door
with six packs
ride out the storm they say
avacados in a bowl
thats the way
the only thing
open in hanalei is tahiti nui
a bar
landslides flooding
way back when the bridge flooded
it was the perfect excuse to party the fuck down
not today
river is charging hard
like wild horses
buffalo
and deer
raining

now the road has holes
rocks and sand
the people i have known for ever
tell me dont charge the puddles
you might hit a rock
laughing
all of us after days of being surrounded by water
refuse to leave the sunshine
the beach
talking to people from norway
in the coffee house

i guess some of us just couldnt face four walls again
people bring children here= and they are so beautiful
from everywhere
