the island

Post by creativesoul » March 27th, 2012, 3:46 am

when the city and it s poisons crawled up on her lap
wanting to cuddle and kiss
she did her best
but ---this one was just too late
she watched the hillside in terror
certainly she did not come this far
to get her lights put out forever
by some two legged fool and error

the island called her many years ago
sent her places
to learn and see
then when all of those things were done'
it called her back

she sat motionless
listening to the same things she heard
25 years ago like a circle
a cycle
those colors called her spirit like no other could
the sun rose
smiled
caressed her beautiful warm sweet body
the sea sang to her
the river swirled and chastised her tenderness
she had to let go

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

the beckoning beauty of mother earth's daughters can be irresistible at times, because we understand the healing power of places ......and the cyclical nature of life takes it from there....aloha.........coming home
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

May Hawaii, hundreds of miles from the nearest other lands, continue to
flourish & sustain itself. It takes supreme guts to live a sustainable life
in such a fragile environment along with active volcanos & tsunamis.
Aloha & again Aloha!! 8)

i wonder if perhaps this is just destiny-that my home was always here-recentli i became a 'water person' more than ever before- perhaps fins will grow where there were once hands, and gils to replace these fried sun burned noses...
just6 hoping the transformation will be as interesting as the ride to here.... aloha for sure- no guts no glory? aloha
