waking the sleeping mess

watching the baseball game, kind of
with the sound off and one eye rolling,
my mind a nomadic breeze inflating
random billows of meditation on my need
to shrink my ego small enough to slip
through the cracks of my latest coma

don't need it, it's a useless appendage
that prevents me from defining all of my
relationships with the world and beyond,
so I make a vow to any god that might be
listening in the dead air still unknown to me
to turn up the heat in the neural dehydrator

wanna slow burn it, let it dry into nothing,
disappear in purposeful love
