Remember the times
We used to hang out at that club in the city
The music was hot
Drinks were cheap
The chicks were there
The bar was crowded
But there was always room for us
And all the waitresses knew us.
Everybody’s gone now
But don’t tell anyone
I still get shivers remembering the times we had
Like it was yesterday
Standing shoulder to shoulder
Drinking
Laughing
Buddies forever
When the door to the old club
Was wide open
Waiting for us to walk in.
Remember When
Re: Remember When
reminded me of Springstein's, "Glory Days".....some reminiscing is cool, the fondness of old friends and places can have a permanent warm spot, but then I have a few friends who are totally stuck there.....when we get together, that's all they ever talk about and I get tired of reliving the past with them on every single occasion....
I miss some of the old times, with one eye open for some new experiences that could have the same impact......enjoyed this poem, that made me reconsider
