zombie geek frogs

Post by the mingo » June 4th, 2012, 12:09 pm

a woman writes of making a new duck
but I am not sure what she means so i ask
& for an instant everything inside my head
is covered with zombie geek frogs
& dogs licking rain from the grass -

remember when our heads
grew enormous with all
the new hot math ?
we investigated anti-rhyme
& available & buy now
and language remained potent
but its use less & less meaningful
the closer we approached the forest
of upright stones where no one babbles

a man i knew once painted an entire wall
of a nursery with a giant tree from inside
his mind - 20 years later he's in jail
for trafficking in child porn
which is a type of cannibalism

life as we know it
is also death
and i will not sing it's praises
as some do

the dog's tongue tickles the zombie geek frogs
some leap out of the way
others sit very still
thinking that invisibility will
keep them safe
but the dog is not fooled
those that sit still get eaten
and that more out of play than malice
or need
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

I liked this poem a lot. I, too, have been to a "forest of upright stones"
at "Stonehenge", in Salisbury Plains, U. K. "Froggy went a-courtin' & he did
ride, uh, huh..." So let's "Roll away the dew..." 8)

Ha Ha! Great stuff to me.
Thank you. I am always looking at the words and having words.
Keeping me in it.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
