Choices: from the book of jackadiah

Post by gypsyjoker » August 13th, 2012, 9:45 pm

God or No God
Life or Death

A jealous God
Make no Image
I am sorry I can't do that, I will always have that image of God as a heavenly father, as man with a long flowing beard and wearing an immaculate white lab coat.

The lord will raise up a nation pitiless towards the young

No God but God

Woe to those who say of the evil that it is good and of the good that it is evil; . . .

To see & not understand
to not understand what I see?
sure why not

the struggle to see the universe from G d's point of view

. . . sustained by the belief the universe is governed by principle divine justice so absolute that even G d himself is . . . [acknowledge it]?

what if believers are never born again unless they choose to

. . .the essence of the true religion is submission to the will of G d

islam—. . .had same traditions as judaism and christianity to draw on but reached very different conclusions about the relationship between man and G d

a Muslim would never dream of demanding justice from G d.

no debates or arguments with G d

christianity violates the core belief of islam
the indivisiblelity of god
the one sin of partnering with God shivira?

except in times of holy war I suppose

You got questions in your eyes
I got dollar signs in my eyes
The price is right

I live in a cave it is dark and cool in here
I go out into the heat and texas sun with the bulls and scorpions
and I am glad to feel the sun on my skin

the wheel is turning fast
one generation to the last
the jackal cries
a baby cries
Life goes on

there are crocodiles in the shade and Buddha's father was a white elephant, but I still linger in her arms wrapped around me like an elephants trunk.

what it all means
the agony of defeets

I have trouble with logic, I am not smart enough to be a priest.

I don't know what it all means, but there is a curiosity that drives us, drives me anyway, to seek G d. They say Buddhism is not a religion, but it seems like a pretty good one to me. I like to try to see the faith I was born into with the eyes of a Patagonian.

I guess I want to think something other than what I am told to think, I need to think, so I think I will think about what some guy at the BBC thinks, and think about that.

What's love got to do with it?

Intra-natural miracles? These guys need to relax - their brains are a tad over-heated - i mean they need to work laying the decking on a bridge or running a street sweeper or weeding the onion fields or even get employed by the post office...look at Niets, he did away with God then tried to replace God with himself and went insane in the attempt - somewhere Scripture testifies that God created man upright but man has gone in search of many schemes - and boy o boy don't that prove out? ... one drunk is worth five philosophers on a dime anytime & twice to sunday - shit, he wanted to be free of God when the real foe is death - wonder why it never occurred to him that if a man can't be free of death he can't be free of anything ... that's my take anyways - it ain't drove me crazy yet, roosters & all - 8)

Ten four. I have always thought it was philosopher should be the jokers, the clowns not the kings. Speaking of jokers, Heidegger cracks me up.

I think those guys were talking about Pascal's proof that G d exists. I am just picking and grinning like a crow picking out bits that pique my curiosity.

That's the way I while away my time in the merry old land of Oz, or someplace very much like it

i hear ya - i make the trash runs through the internet myself - looking more for amusements than knowledge but in the process i find a piece of knowing here & another one there - the things that make ya stop & ponder - been doing shit like that since boy days - hell, it was an article in Field & Stream magazine way too many years ago that showed me how to build a fire anywhere anytime even with damp wood - i mean Field & Stream saved my life that day - and the internet is like a world wide farmer's almanac - i just come from youtube with a desire for an '83 cadillac eldorado - straight up - plus i could probably be a writer but it's all too ridiculous & i spaz out into word birds - Ryokan wrote "have all the fun you can" - so i be livin' towards that most days - got no love for obama but romney just makes the skin of my scalp go tight & prickly - reading excerpts from the diaries of anais nin - miller was such a lusty beast took the nin to smooth out the wrinkles in his juice & packed his shit down - ah, the literary life - 8)

"We are the joy boys of radio
we chase the electrons to and fro"

hammer hammer on the information highway
so many nights staring into the darkness
the monitor fades I see the road before be
I'll be laying over in that big parking lot
at Dr Doom's truck stop
till then I need to keep them wheels turning
driving and typing to lighten my load
On The Road jack knew time
and he new space
Being and Time my ass Heidegger
