Dining on the Magic Octopus

Post by theirishsea » August 19th, 2012, 3:42 pm

Octopus 8

Eight charmed arms supping

Ate

The wizardry of the sea

Then eaten itself

By diners on silver plates

The clinks of forks, knives, denture plates

The scrunch, squish of scrumptious

Seafood juice buttered

But the eight diners are getting possessed

(takes time for magic to brew)

Their eyes turn aquamarine

Their movements get more sway

Like fins or tentacles in the deep

Suction cups of unusual thought

Attach to everything

All flowers in a vase are anemones

All critics grow crab claws, antennae

All love is a wave of upending passion

All grasping is magnified by tremors of eight

All the eyes of interest protrude

Look at the schools of poetry, art, music swim

Golden, red, silver, black flashes

And the human bubbles of subconscious descent

Rise

Little nymphs of inspiration dance within
