I don't reach in my pocket towards a knife anymore when someone disses' me.

Worked with a guy on the bus who looked a lot like J. D. Jakes. I wonder if that is a tribe of people with the same morphology, or are they just fat.

Only three chicas I got to deal with on a daily basis, a granddaughter, daughter and mother, living with a woman has its down side I think. But I am a long time alone so it is probably just sour grapes.

Well sorry I ramble again
The guy who dissed' me got all over me threatened me ranting and raving, calling me all kinds of names, just because I corrected him about the price he was charging a customer, he is one of those guys who just will not listen, got his ears topped up with his own thoughts. Kind of funny when people can't hear what you are really saying. How many times I have stopped my ears up against what was being said to me. Well anyway I ramble again.....so after he dumped on me I was pretty pissed, that cold kind of angry that used to scare me, cold like cold blooded mureder, cold and calm too, like that time in Laredo the day after Thanksgiving in 1984... the day after I buried my rose of san antone. when I felt my hand in my pocket reaching for that knife and waiting for him to turn his back on me so I could climb his frame and cut his throat.

I thank Jesus for that cause I knew him first, but it could be thanking buddha too I think.
I hear people say that everyone has wanted to kill someone at one time or another. Why do I think I am so special.

Well not much into country music today, I listened to it a little. He is good, I like him almost as mcuh as I like his grandpaw. too bad his daddy is such a jerk though, I still like his music too.

I been thinking that Patton made a better Nazi than Rommel.

watch this if you want to feel creepy

sorry about the creepy video I finally figured out what fascinated me about it. When he was doing the faces thing, he reminds me so much of George Carlin.

Thinking about philosopher kings as the clowns,
reminds that is what I think Heidegger is, he is the coyote.
wasn't coyote one of the sacred clowns of the Navajos?

saw this on the poetry board at studio eight, thought it was pretty cool.

I
No sleep: I keep thinking about self defense and cold blooded murder, there must be a difference, I have heard that Job cried out for divine justice so loudly that god had to admit it.

but I am not so sure about his wife. I mean she died just to prove a point with Satan I suppose. I don't remember where she was restored to the faithful Job. Maybe I missed that part. I still have not read it all the way through I get so agitated with it.

Does it bother you to lose books along the way, I got too many books and too few of the ones I want to get my hands on again

Answer to Job C. Jung. is one for sure.

I don't think it would be too far off the mark to say Manson is possessed and I mean that in full New Testament sense - he whispers he's nobody - twice does that ... in case anyone might not of heard it the first time - somewhere along the line Charlie had himself a little encounter that he never came back from and today all that's left of Charlie Manson is ... a whisper ... a nobody.

yeah I see what you mean.
I was shocked by the video

I contrast with kerouac saying he was nobody.

Anne Francis put the air in all my balloons when I was a kid - i just liked watching her - in Forbidden Planet in full color & I saw her in a Twilight Zone episode once - she could even do it to me in black & white...somebody stop me.

Reading Tropic of Capricorn - Ol' Henry pisses me off the way he does things - i mean he has these lucid exciting moments and he brings them into hair focus in his writings and it's exciting but then he wanders off to someplace i ain't even interested in ... then comes back around to the lucid again - pisses me off, i just want all his lucidity together in one place and just to go on & on like that.

e.g. - " Down to the closest friend every man is a potential murderer. Often it wasn't necessary to bring out the gun or the lasso or the branding iron - they (Americans) had found subtler & more devilish ways of torturing and killing their own. For me the most excruciating agony was to have the word annihilated before it had even left my mouth. " Tropic of Capricorn - Henry Miller

...aw, hell. the good the bad & the ugly i guess

Check this out if you get a chance it is Robert Redford in January of 1962 on a twilight zone episode. Man he was beautiful, they say that every man is a latent homosexual too I have heard. Some of us have a choice I think.

Been spacing out on a you tube vid about a blind willie johnson song on the voyager space probe long gone now still on its way into deep space, first man made object to leave the solar system. I hope they will be friendly. Not like us at all. Yes we have so many god given talents. I would like to defend myself with the full armor that is mentioned in the new testament.

before I forget here is the link to the Redford/twilight zone episode part 2
Nothing in the Dark - Twilight Zone (02-02)

about Henry
as you said about focus and wandering off onto what does not interest me. I would skim over paragraphs looking for the bits that interested me.

I much admire his writing, not sure if I will finish the TOC but I want to write like him, I am tired of sounding like a college sophomore emeritus. Henry was not a name dropper a quoter, he knew his zeitgeist he knew the four disangelists of the 20th century, marx, darwin, nietzsche, freud.
maybe that is why his character sketches are so right on, I liked those best, his understanding of human intentions.

and we kill for all kinds of sane reasons, I see breivik got 21 years but they say he will never be released. Ask him who he is. I wonder what he will answer, a hero I guess he would say.

hope you liked the zone with redford, he shines off the screen like anne frances, if I was queer I would fantasize about him.

i second that, Jack - thx... - I like the way Miller says what he says even with the meanderings he pulls - the good stuff is worth it - I tried skipping around in his works but the thought that I might miss any of the good stuff that way got me worried more than I could handle so I go straight through and when I come to the uninteresting I skip over that and keep going... I like the way he expresses himself when he's on a scent - he gets straight to it and writes it straight - it's invigorating - I guess boring wasn't quite the right word for me to use - frustrating fits the bill better

Sometimes this shit is like when I try to balance my hat on the back of the nearest chair instead of getting my ass up and hanging my hat where it's supposed to go - every time I think I've got it and take my hand off of it and it falls to the floor I go "Damn!" - then comes the time when I take my hand from off of it and it stays balanced on the back of the chair and I go "Damn!"

I just don't know if I will read anymore of him except for "famous quotes" something like that. I like that user name of Short Timer, I asked jimboloco once if he thought it was disrespectful for a four f conscientious objector like me to use a name like that.

Trying to live like there is no tomorrow anymore.

Trying to right a haiku about a cricket

'cept for the scorpions scuttling along the porch
no that is a lie I don't hear them I just walk around bare footed in the dark

10:17a.m. -
landlord stops to get the rent - wheel turning like tic - toc - the Bible say a time for everything, I say is that like a schedule? - some time is small, some time is big, some time is inbetween -

an artist's narration...everybody lives inside of somebody's painting ...you can't say it ain't so, now can ya Joe Buck? Especially with no less than Einstein coming along and saying things like "Imagination is more important than knowledge."

Geronimo has been accused of making his clothes out of a litany of negative aphorisms when actually he was just reacting to the presence of a new house being built in his neighborhood - his first reaction was to screw it down on an old battery to check the fit but it didn't go down all the way - left a small gap between the battery and the house - this gap caused Geronimo to go crazy in the Indian way - he said, "Aha! See? I knew it! It don't close all the way!"
He asked his fellow Apaches, "Is this what you want? Walking around with a gap that everybody can see? A few of his people agreed and followed him out into the desert and a dread presence history. It is said when he was a young man Geronimo had visions of fire and of the sun. The Spanish, the Mexicans, and the Americans sent whole armies after him all the time but their visions were different and even though their visions were not as powerful as those of Geronimo their visions prevailed in the end.

Geronimo was not forced into surrender by the Spanish, the Mexicans, or the Americans. He decided it for himself when the time came. When they put the chains on him he wore them as a sign & as a belief in abstract art.
