death march

Post by creativesoul » February 26th, 2013, 11:18 pm

on the islands, they speak of the 'night marchers' some say menehuene- the little people-then; people say a whole lot of things-the humidity takes some getting used to- what we think about late at night- seeing things in the jungle- sometimes it is as if timelessness has become present- hours float by- some call it polynesian paralysais- a languid, sensual opening of the places that had been closed off from sunlight for so very long-i wonder at the kapu of men and women eating together- how different we are- and the men eat quite differently then the women-
with the calabash =inside is the poi- we set out under the trees to eat.
the appetites of the people were hungry the old kahuna said- we grow our food like the grandparents did-
he was hawaiian , he was part german as well- he grew up in a dojo- was a body guard for the hawaiian maifia, grew weed for years- smokes it all the time= the things that he could have changed he did not- he was comfortable- he yelled at his wife- he yelled at the kids- he was a super man=
his daughter was sad- her father- was kind of rude-

her daughters danced the hula, like the grandmother.they looked like they belong in the places where these dances were done-in all these places, he felt he had tried to love them all- but he couldnt understand why they did not lissen
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
