neo gravity

Post by saw » March 26th, 2013, 9:29 am

maybe it's the tequila
I'm sipping, but I am sure
I have this thing I like to call
intuitive toxicology that tells me
"safe levels " of contaminants
are a contradiction to rational thought
not to mention my health

just look at the zombies under my window sill
carelessly dropping their unnecessary body parts,
is this the neo gravity that calls on my faith
to trust drunken corporate frat boys
that gamble away my life savings
or the EPA that seems to be the same to me as Fox News
guarding the hen house

this is why I sit here with my shot glass
and allow my mind to wonder toward beauty,
what if I only looked for Picasso rays
hidden in the carbon chambers of buried love,
what if I could only hear the acoustic armies
of Schubert, Stravinsky
marching with me across the cobblestones
of my consciousness smoothing the bumpy
symphonies, forever broadcast at frequencies
too high for the linear receptors of greedy political swine

what if I could dance in a Navajo healing ceremony
kick multi-colored sand with my bare hardened feet,
the forces of generations of dispossessed lore
now compressed into glowing marbles of peace,
and tiny crystal balls would hail down on the thirsty tongues
of the masses with the thawed wisdom of ancient tribal campfires

this I would find a hell of lot more comforting
than homeland security making the guy in front of me
take off his smelly oxfords

shouldn't we fear the spread of athlete's feet ?

shouldn't we fear everything in the neo gravitational pull ?

are we sufficiently frightened enough yet to stop dreaming
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
