" Sometimes us dogs get chopped up for dogfood & fed to other dogs that don't know a damn thing about it. "
The Book of Dogs - Anon.

12:46 p.m. - the train is late today. I just now heard the crossing horn blowing. Funny the way things work out. It's impossible to have a thought that don't change to something else a split second after it comes into being. There's like this growing web thing going on that every one is enmeshed in & that no one could possibly understand even if they had the key. If the cave painters came back now the only thing they would recognize and maybe understand would be the graffiti ... that don't stop the thinkers & gov't groups & academia from getting a grant up to study it - the Study of The Obvious I call it - lot of that kind of thing going on - national pastime - what's not to understand about graffiti? Everybody knows it. O yeah bring on the money! We will study it & then we will know!

Yeah, right, that's the kind of thinking got us kicked from Paradise and sent out to look for a job, our stomachs as traitors urging us on.

Our spiritual bread is cut as thin these days as it was then - nothing has changed in the whole sweep of human history.

Some days I think it would be better to be standing shoeless in front of a burning bush in the middle of a howling wilderness listening to a Voice making pronouncements out of the flames about how our future is gonna go and answering back, "What the ... Who? Me? You got to be kidding! I can't! "

I know folks who would die for just one heavenly vision. I think they should be more careful.

Hell, even the careful aren't near careful enough.

The truth is no one has to go looking for a vision - ever - you open your eyes in the morning and first thing you are presented with is a vision, or visions as the case is, & they go on & on 'til you close your eyes at night - then the dreams begin. Another kind of vision.

So we are constantly subject to visions.

And there it is.

" It's good to have agreements with the rain. "
The Book of Dogs - Anon

Cheap & beautiful boxes - that's what you leave me when you go to have a shower - i go all tubular in shape and you get wet behind the curtain. Call for the Wizard! Smoke! Thunder!
Clashing cymbols! Trains in the night! Wicked witches! Flying monkey men! One battery gives ya service and two batteries gives ya longevity!

Radioactive pumphouse restrooms!

What's it all about, Alfie?

Plastic glasses before my eyes - big hot factories of aluminum dreams - people have died there and do ya want a job? I been praying to the Great Lawnmower Fairy to come just touch my mower so it might start when I pull the cord - all I've got so far is faith - but that was in the beginning so probably the best bet in this land of Bingo! Got your money on anything else all I can tell ya is good luck.

People always looking for the best features - i think features is as features does. Once ya get into something ya get wowed by all the choices and options so ya begin to gather all this shit - next thing ya know ya got tons of shit and ya realize it's time for a think. So ya have your think trying to refind what it was got ya involved in all this shit in the first place.
Lo & behold ya find all ya need is whatever gets the job done in the most satisfying way - and that will be the most erotic thing and there ya go & get on your way all happy.

It's fine when ya find the uncomplication point - no matter what it might be.

Just got back from the fresh woods, all that earthy hint and lush green. I could just live there in it, if it weren't for the spiders. A lot of chipmunks darting, one darted behind a fallen tree limb and popped just it's head and little front paws up and it's little teeth above that bottom lip, too cute, too cute!

Damn straight it cheats - the damn thing is a demon - I have never beat the damn thing - it boggles my jeebies that I can lose so well & so consistently to something that is no smarter than my stove - numbers it's all in the damn numbers - the experience has been bitter -
Another program that is its demon brother is the Shredder program - even on easy mode

I could use one of these shredder programs?

numbers game,
as in statistics for the behavioral sciences?

the course that put an end to my twelve year college career.

I can't watch the video on this computer I will check it out, I know that story well, Thank heaven for little girls, I think I will listen to Maurice sing that song one more time.

I am having a bicycle emergency this morning, I think I need to buy one of those big cushy women's seats for Kerouac's bike. Over a million miles siting on my ass in a peterbilt and never had a probblem with ...

Been looking at bikes myself now that I'm jobless - my Cherokee is with the woman all day where she works - i'd want a bigger seat than I've seen so far. man, these narrow arrowhead seats ain't gonna do it for my flat ass - I've seen more padding on a razor blade - if I lived on a river I'd just use my kayak to get around or walk and if something I wanted couldn't be reached by kayak or by walking then to hell with it I obviously don't need it.

been looking at a lot of boats lately (time on my hands) all the new kayak based craft - inflatables - twin-hulled stuff - canoes even. I want a harem of little boats.

Got some interest in the shaft driven bicycles - they look interesting - no chains, no slop, no all those adjustments - yeah. Expensive though - 7 to 8 hundred buckskins - guess I'll just dream - I keep my eye on craigslist here - lots of bikes - saw one the other day from the early early '60's, a Schwinn - the seat was huge, padded, and gorgeous

That bike is centering my life these days, I think about it as Kerouac's bike.

Mescaline, I went to class one day tripping, the class was called Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences. I could not deal with the construct that there is no reality other than a statistical reality. I blamed it on the mescaline.

Sorry I did not catch your allusion to numbers game or shredder program. All I could think of was everything comes down to the bottom line in our culture and I thought shredder was some operation in Vietnam, like the Phoenix program.

I am jobless too, but I got soc sec checks coming in every month, at least until the year 2033, I don't know how I will make it after then. I have heard a Buddhist say money is stored energy.

I buy a lotto ticket and feel pretty stupid about that. At least playing the horses lives something up to skill.
