the mind is the tree perceiving the mind

Post by sweetwater » October 13th, 2013, 12:32 pm

i had a realization
as i have had many and
some of them more memorable
than others

the most recent
during a quiet meditation
in the forest of an autumn's
kantian revelation

the tree is the mind
perceiving the tree

the noumenal world
or that which is separate
from the mind

it determines we are separate
or separated from and by nature

and would and does and did seem
that all of philosophy

was a bias or based in a fallacy
or a construct of the separation
of nature and oneself

the mind is the tree perceiving the mind

we know the virtue and quality of the tree
from the trees existence and experience

not from the invention of the mind's experience

the mind did not create the tree

or that mind is both tree and the mind as relationship
and not separated from the experience or the expression
of each other's existence

as if to say
they are not separate experiences

the mind is the tree perceiving the mind

God it is some time since I read Kant. But yes, this brought it back, and the whole perceception and conception thing. Fine poem. 8)

'it s in the tree' is a common phrase used by people i dance with- trees are the 'stnading ones'
LOVED THIS POEM!!!!!! :o :(
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
