neighbor

Post by Terri » October 20th, 2013, 11:26 pm

-neighbor-

lonely dove
i wish we could converse
small talk
hello heddoo
hot enough
nice sunrise

nice breeze this end of the block?
when what i want to know is
why always alone
just there?
pink-footed on the stretch of wire

and what does a dove
(was there a tragedy?)
without bill and coo?
do you dream of corn, does
the line sing to you
do you have family here?

d'you go to the branch library
do the fireflies spell her name
- is this some kind of zen thing?

would you like to come to supper?

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

a wonderful poem - profoundly original and sensitive. of course, i would spell it neighbour - as i do not consort with this new english lexicon.

Perhaps surprisingly, given the importance of conformity as a theoretical construct in social psychology and the profound implications of infatuation has in relation to not conforming to social norms ... it pays to wear ankle bracelets to let the police department know where you are at all times !!
