Re: the bastard sons and daughters of godless humanity

Visceral poem, it would be red meat for a slam

I could not resist riffing on it.

I'm not so hip, I never been to a slam just trying to imagine it

I'm so dumb
I don't know
what the difference is
between a slam and a jam
Constantine writes like a carnivore
he puts red meat on my table
I can survive
if he don't mind me slamming his poem on jam
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I hear Jack's voice as kind
Trying to find it within myself
quell my violent nature

Uncle John's Band still playing to a rising tide

Code: Select all

It's the same story the crow told me
 It's the only one he know -
like the morning sun you come
 and like the wind you go
Ain't no time to hate,
 barely time to wait
 Wo-oah, what I want to know,
 where does the time go?

Infectious cookies
Salami & swiss sub
Early to bed
For that early rise
Morning adventure manana
No ride
No car almost 4 years
Don't miss it a bit
Living downtown
Rent one when i needs one
Jam
Wanna head to manhattan
Mid November
Things lining up nicely
Ride, place to stay
Wanna chk out Bowery Poetry Club
Have an adventure
Write a travel piece
Let it roll
Be in jam flow
Watching wave riders
Portugal has massive waves
70' plus
Amazing rides
Takes tremendous balls
One chick from brazil rides 'en too
A bonafied BABE named Maya
Continuous thought patterns
Spew forth from a wired mind
Never know where it'll go
For it is it's own thing
I never see words
Only mind visions
Especially while performing
2 kindsa jam
Written and performed
Same species
Yet different animals
Got a little drunk last night
Everybody buzzin bout lou reed passin on
Me in sufi mode
Readin bout hafiz
His times
His life in shiraz
Them sultans was ruthless
But they loved their wine and poetry
Amazing how the thugs of the world
like culture, actually love the finer things
Time to read some Bukowski and slip
Off to dreamland
Jam on brothers
The jam wagons rolling!

roast beast in the slow cooker
ain't been riding in a week
i think of ol' Ryokan in the winter
with his legs stickin' out there
in his hut
seems more & more
i like a good fire
when the temperature goes down
smell of that cooking roast beast
driving me crazy
couple more hours it should all be done
til then black coffee gonna have to get me
across the arctic of memory

jury duty yesterday left me
with a hunk of lead
for a head -
and the constant rain here
has got me cranky for some road
under my two wheels
I could use a good weekend myself

the pumpkin with the old man
blew me away
came back to haunt me
as I was playing online chess later
i had just begun an exchange on c4
when that pic came full blown into my mind
I began to laugh and lost track
of what I was doing
went down a pawn and lost control
over the central real estate on the board to boot
- pushed the resign button
my opponent writes, "hey, what happened?"
well there was no way to explain it to him
I just said - "Bill Burroughs fucked me over
just as I entered the stretch"

that ol' junky bastard -

Great pic
Sorry bout the game
Old Beat spirits never die
Gonna try and get to manhattan
Next week
35 years away
See my old haunts
Get on the Beat trail
Chk out Kerouac archives
@NY public library
Go up to columbia
Write about the adventure
Might all come out as poetry
Always does it seems
Should be interesting
Better than the staycations i took
the last couple a times
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Surreal Sunday
Up early, eat
Then back to dreams
Awake i write
I just can't stop
There are recurring dreams
About living in and leaving places
I woke up wondering if I still owed rent money
Seriously surreal
So much to do
So little time
If i only had enuff dinero
Take off never landing
No sidekicks, a freebird
Dont get me wrong i love my friends
Yet sometimes its better to be wired alone
Especially at my age
I need love
Like moon and stars ........above
No hurry since CJ departed
No replacement
How could u ever replace an iconoclast
So i just Jam perform my stuff when i wanna
Make a poetry party on some beatific night
I read....read...read....mostly the same authors
Their journals and letters interest me these daze
Jack....Neal....Allen....WB.....Lew.....Carolyn C.....r. brautighan....Buk.....
Stuck in the Beat
I could think of worse places to b
Jam on me
Jam on u
Jam thru & through & threw.......
Alone to the bone
Throw the dog a god
This ladies at the bar
scrutinizing everyone
as they leave to smoke
Their cigs outside
Her man hawking
School of Rock bands to
Erin the bartender who
politely listens to their
lines of crap
I pay for my wiredriver
And leave before i let
the insults fly
Judgemental idiots
I cant stand em
Especially at the bar
No health talk
No politics
No religion
Please do not judge these
people for they are my friends
Rock and Roll school?...come on
Signs of the times
These people should populate
some place else, stay away from
the beautiful sanctity of the
blessed Cafe Nola
My soul shudders
But this is about Jam
I wake from dreams
Bad ones at that
Lives unfullfilled
Lives ungraspable
Lives unescapeable
Till i wake in a cold sweat
Relieved that its only a dream
Alone like Texas
Big alone
I never drink alone though
No beers in my fridge
No vodka on my shelf
I do that at the bar
Sanctified
Just some silly talk and good old
back slappin fun
Turn that music up
Fill my cup
Lets dance the night away
& JAM!!!
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
sometimes there ain't
just ain't no bullets
for the gun
I feel like Richard Brautigan
confused as to why
he didn't buy a hamburger instead
of killing his friend
and that's the way it goes, Walter Cronkite
Mexico ain't down there
it's here
it's right here
and who are we now?
dunno - I'm gonna make steak burritos
for dinner - it won't unconfuse me
but they will taste good
then I'm heading for the desert
to paint poems
on all the dry hot rocks
I find there
and I don't wanna die
no I don't wanna die
next to some railroad tracks
or end up in some damn book
to be remembered that way
by my brain
and all the women in it
it's said first thought is the way to go
well here it is
all of them in this moment
I layed down a line a crap to cecil the other day on another board here on studio eight
my home away from home
my refuge from a lonely crowd
I do my drinking alone
but I am always alone
wherever I am in this lonely valley
I call home
yeah I layed down a line of crap
i told him sometimes I feel like Kerouac
ha'
i try to listen to what I heard in his voice, and it was only judgmental when he was making judgements about American cultural mores
Who makes judgements about God and Truth?
It beats me
I feel like the jack of nightmares when I try to make judgements about that, I don't want to piss anyone off by offending their religions, I used to be judgmental about Jack, I guess it was envy. Now some of my best friends are Catholics and Zen Buddhists :wink:
listening to gospel today
i am okay when it is playing
now it is not
and I am listening to wind, bird calls, and keystrokes
jury duty
I can't get my head around that
too spooky
missed my ride yesterday, I feel out of sorts, hung over.
going to make today or bust
vivid dreams I can't get that painting out of my mind, my dreams been dark lately but my nights are long and interupted, i used to be able to sleep fast, but I lost it the last couple nights. up and up again, sleeping with the windows open for the first time since last fall, all summer it was trucking dreams to the roar of an air conditioner this is deeper sleep, I got to start writing them down if I want to remember them.
feel the breeze in my sleep
good dreams
