I don't know if I was born pissed off
or if it is an acquired habit
like america -
I don't know about German, Jack
always sounded to me like meat being ripped off the bone
though I do like the name
of that painting -
I might lack the willpower
and the winter coat to keep riding up here
the chill has come
and the outright cold can't be far behind
i get cold easy these days
and imagination can be
a big pain in the ass anymore
but that's just the romantic in me
shit I'm really gonna miss my bike
til spring -
one of these days I' gonna get
an enjoyment I can do all year round
one more fuck story
I might pop right out of my tree
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Still cool quiet
4am. Jam
Brief, belief in words
Face the day
Sunrise serenade
Face the cold
Be ever so bold
8th story coming
Then the roof
Job winding down
My thoughts heading up

One winter: Back in the sixties worked high rise in Virginia. I remember cold concrete shells of those high rise apartments in Crystal City across from D.C.
Brings back cold memories
Going to ride my bike
all winter
I'm a winter Texan
I can't imagine war
and that is a blessing I know
I can only be grateful
that I was too crazy for it
certified four F mentally unfit
so I became a Quaker
a conscientious four f objector

I used to feel guilty till a world war vet from Corregidor told me I should feel grateful, not guilty.

Watching a PBS show about heroes this morning
the guys who wore those paratrooper boots
When they liberated a death camp one of them wrote in his diary, that now he knew why we were fighting that war. Which I kind of sniggered at, dang me they ought to take a rope and hang me.
Got me thinking to thinking about 1914 and wishing Germany had won that war.
German Jews, there is almost a cast system among us
some of us got class some of us are peasants like my family

nothing wrong with that I guess

a disease called man
our will to power
Nietzsche died for my sins

I been thinking about a new sport for the Olympics
I call it "Competitive Zen Buddhism"

sorry wired - last post was riffing off of Jack - 8)

you're right though - more folks should
just lay it down and get on -
- i'm more comfortable with it
than i was at first -
most things with words still have
a big play factor for me to this day -
i don't need a reason really
to screw around with words
sometimes i just throw them up in the air
to watch them go SPLAT when they hit the earth
i am coyote-educated
don't need a degree
don't tread on me
lookin ' out of old eyes
i can still see the sky

I miss my black widow spider lover
I want her to wear by high school sweater
the one with the scarlet letter for
acid adultery and abortion
"a portrait of guilt hung on the wall"
if only there was a market for erotic psychedelic hallucinations
I could cash in on my guilt trips

I think about Allen Watts talking about empty Christian Platitudes
And I say Okay big Al
I will try to remember empty Buddhist patters of platitudes
St Jack the real deal
he knew the platitudes
his heart was kind

the sound of silence
the patter of platters
platitudes and latitudes
these are the good old days
Days like today

Postby hester_prynne » Mon May 25, 2009 1:07 am

Roll a pome out
rev yo spinner up!
Press me press me
chin up buttercup.
All lee all loy,
hannah's in the clover,
throw a ball over a house,
annie annie over!
Grass tickled toes,
hula hula dancers,
laughing buddha guys
don't have all the answers.
Yip Yip skip a rope
up, down, blam,
days like today,
I forget how old I am.

"I am a victim of society, and, an entertainer"........DW

it's the intimate noises
that are the hardest to chase out the cracks of your life
gonna find the line
and put it down how I find it
read a little Thoreau this morning
sitting on the crapper
he was talking 'bout
winter visitors & past inhabitants
out there in Walden Woods -
bout the old negro woman before his time
who had her home there
and could be heard by passerby's muttering to herself
" you all bones, bones! "
it made me smile cuz I could see it
i could see it plain
and faint deep in the background
the far off sound
of African drums
o america - she musta been somethin
when she was young

riffin on the raff

America she was so much older then
stay away American woman
my home sweet home
burning in the sun
down from the valley of the Virginias
to the Texas Islands

head on down to the veil of tears
clean up Armenia
get a hair lip

everything is groovy
jimi plays the oh can you see
America™ where we eat the children

and I am just whistling Dixie
riff raff
on a raft

November sunshine warms my bones
a good day to be cold
to be old man
but I am happy as a monkey with a honey pot
or a bear with a beer
I don't know nothing
just a jam
drive on
jam on
