But loose
Like a long necked goose
Fresh from poetry night
Poetry forever
Been doin them nola nights
Almost 3 years now
Set the 1st one up so
Doreen could come and read
with a friend from tenessee
3 years flying
Me i spying
The above from below
The o say cant ya see
The shining sea
The o baby baby please please please
Documenting the week
1 week down
Outside they seem like a
Pack a hounds
Gonna stay in
Wire it up
Listen to the hum
Write
Read
Enuff for us all
Get ready for the show
They always ask
Did u take pics? Vids?
I aint into that
Just the doing of the act
Its for others to take the shots
Ya look at em 1or 2 times maybe
And who are the they?
Will they play
Save it up for a rainy day
Drive down the freeway
Yelling "Get the hell outta my way!"
Now dats Jammin!!!!!!!
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

At the foot of
The mountains
Not far from the
appalachian trail
Catoctins above
Inspire Li Po thoughts
Recollections
Longing
I miss the mountains
Then i look up
And of course
The ever present Spires
of Frederick towering
above immortalized
Hillbillies
I grew up in Hillcrest Hgts
Just south of DC
Had my 1st taste of the
mountains on a family sojourn
To Harpers Ferry WV.
Missing those Santa Cruz heights
Went to high school out there in Cali
Just to play golf year round
Gave it all up in '72 when i found
my calling in the rebar & wire

Decisions made @
18 or 19 will affect
The rest of your life

A lesson learned
To be passed on
But will the young listen?
Glad i made that choice
Now in the twilight of
a long career
Feeling the same
Only these bones are
sure worn
Regrets, i'll not lie
Shoulda stayed free
Bad choices in spouses
It was always better
to just live together
Too many expectations
on both sides
Cause one thing i've learned
There's more than one side
To a persons story
Maybe 3 or 4
Scenarios unlimited
The thing is ya gots to
bounce, flow like a ping pong
ball in the rapids
Ya gotta splice
Be able to live on red beans
& rice, when steak would be
oh so nice
day 2 commences
Fresh from dreams of civil war
wences, who knows where
They came from
A lot of karma floating round
this historic downtown
I hear it, the spirits be restless

" Decisions made @
18 or 19 will affect
The rest of your life "

- ain't that some truth?
i fucked myself over making decisions
so i stopped making them figuring it was the way out
not so - you don't make decisions
then they will be made for ya
is the lesson i got
regrets? you bet - part & parcel & sometimes the whole shooting match
things done couldn't be undone
not a back button under the big top to be had
joined the Navy lookin' for a port of harbor
Ha! I never did beat that one -
stayed on 'til i was exhausted
then cut myself loose
went to drifting
games of chance
other men's wives because I certainly thought
i didn't want one of my own
still a man needs the comfort
that only comes with a woman
some folks say a bad choice is better than none at all
but some days i could argue the other side of that case
in the courtrooms of hell
pretty up & walkin good
yeah - stories
and my coffee's gone cold in my cup
thinking about them all
you right too about the spirits
restless to the last
every one

No decision = decision
No escaping the process
To jam or not to jam
Willie shakes
Poetry to die for
Googled
I come up with an englishman
Who was drawn and quartered
for his words
One William Collingbourne
Only the brits could think of such a dastardly fate

Levi Asher bouncing
Obamacare around today
I had my say
Sore spot for me
After watching the systems
treatment of carole jean
He loves Obama
Nuff said
Never jam politico
Nor lawyers
Oh i always keep in mind
that good old Obama is one
A lawyer
I guess we need em
Id never face a judge without one
But they are the scourge
As are insurance people
Ugh.....back to jam

Sunday
Still no heat here
I hear the landlord
Talking to the guy
Upstairs, he has no heat
Lucky i got the portable heater first
Jam cold
Its hard
Spent the last couple winters wiring
It up over nola in the cold
Just an electric heater
Now a friends band is giving it a try
Best of luck to em
I like it warm
Outside all day
Windy big time
8 stories up now
Philosophers?
I wish i had the
Time and resources
to be one
If only dad hadda been a lawyer
Lets get back to jam
Art
Words
Wire
Music
Lyrics
Sculpture
Dancing
Wooing
The art of romancing
At 60 im a bit worn
Frazzled
Cynical
Just dont give a fuck
The nose is tired
The scent soured
Let me go gracefully into
The mists of time
Alone
The way i came
into this existence
Mom gone
Dad too
Used to always tell em
"You brought me here!"
Who knows?
Not the lawyers
Surely not the philosophers
All they do is make good
Bartenders
Me id rather be a jammer

" 'O Lord Jesus, yet more trouble! "

:!: HA! that one got me
laughing HARD ! - what the english guy said -
Hell Yeah, Mongolia !!
Lipo would have laughed too !
hey ya can't spend too many years
walkin' this planet without getting
a touch cynical - I try to keep
it off but sometimes ...
sometimes ...
sometimes it gets away from me
and I'm always pissed at myself afterwards
thinkin' of all the ways I could have avoided it -
the ground opens up and ya jump in -
like ya say there ain't no escaping the process
viscious circle -
i'm more apt to keep my mouth buttoned these days
not out of any sense of keeping the peace
but there is so much comedy
in each passing moment
it's a damn shame to open one's mouth
and let all that humor go to waste 8)

I have a cup of milk
and a handful of chocolate bars
because of these things
on the dark nights when
the autumn winds howl
I fear nothing
I'll jam it to hell & back
i sure will

Comedy/tragedy
the 2 faces of life
A picture that has
haunted my psyche
damn near all my life
& those 3 monkey's
"See no evil, hear no evil, & speak no evil."
One big lesson i've learned
in life is that you must be careful
of what you say
It's easier said than done
At least for me
Silence is golden
I had a friend who used to say,
"I'd rather be a silent fool, than open
my mouth and remove all doubt."
I always liked that, he was a wise man

i've thought about those three monkeys
more than once over the years -
they fuck me up - and here's maybe some of that cynicism
we were talking before crops up -
but hear me out for a moment
for i'm treading out on a thin limb here -
seems to me that to see no evil
you'd have to be blind
to hear no evil
you'd have to be deaf
to speak no evil - there's the tricksey one right there
of the three this is the one seems most to be up to us
as if it were a real choice in a way the other two are not
& no matter how vigilant any of us are
sooner or later we goof it & evil gets spoken
well a man does what he can with what light has been given him
so we'll jam the good
we'll jam the evil
we'll jam the inbetween
and go down fightin'
with the jam in our ears
the jam in our eyes
and the jam on our tongues
Hell yeah, Mongolia !

oh yeah hell yeah mongolia
hell yeah Israel™
I guess you got to be discrete about that

when you post anything to the wide world wait
Life imitates Art
boeing commercial.PNG
NG[/attachment]
lockheed martin commercial.PNG
yeah though I see the the world through a Prism™
though I walk through the valley of the big data
I will fear no wisdom
so they say fear of the Lord™ is the beginning of that

life choices at eight
not to suicide
staying in for the long haul
dam these torpedoes of forlorn rags

regrets
just the money
the children
the women

no wives, no children, not much money either
life stories
the manure from which we write

in the wind again
starting over again
I will pick up my life again in the Valley of The Virginias
winter a hell of a time of year to set out on the road again
feeling some self pity

Texas winters are kind
it may still be old Dixie
but Virginia winters are Yankee winters

every ten years the Baltimore bitch gets her tit in a ringer and calls me
and i throw my life in the wind and ride to the rescue
it is a fleshy bond that connects some of us to women
hard to live without that but I do
just my karma
it is a higher love than that joins a brother to a sister
and her children
a maternal uncle is the next best thing to being a father I guess.

the white night little sister syndrome
on the upside I still miss my Shenandoah Home
how ya would top a hill round a curve and see the mountains spread out purple haze
play it for me jimi tambourine man please
