Never a good reason

Watched him at Dodge poetry fest on youtube
Him in korean w/a translator after each poem
He is extremely powerful in korean
The words like magic when translated
It works
He is a world treasure indeed

On the way down
I saw the flower
I hadn't seen
On the way up

his name came up the other day
in one of my google searches
had never heard of him before
that led me to downloading
one of his collections to my kindle
been enjoying it much
i like the oriental poetry
ancient & modern
and the men and women
who laid it down
not only the one's famous
i go searching too for the
less well-known &
the downright obscure
- spent most the afternoon on the bike
i saw poems everywhere
on the shoulder of the road
on the pavement
along the river
saw someone's sketchbook
lying in the road
as I rounded a street corner
the pages being turned by the wind
i was tempted to stop and pick it up
but i was into the motion
was into the poem of movement
the leaves are mostly gone now
you can see into the forests long way now
as you wheel by
whole landscapes of secrets exposed

Riding home
Jeep or train
Really still and mysterious
from train

Streets somber
Oaks still holding their leaves
Xmas lights ready

So many friends marrying, having babies
For me it was over 30 years ago
So much promise
So many dreams
Jam always no need for a time

Many a night we traveled them streets over cyber waves
I always like the feel of yer rides Mingo

Thats what writing should do

Feel the mysteries behind all the descriptions
Through yer mind as reader
Thats why its hard to make a movie from a book
Books are books...imaginings.....

Funny how the light fades
Out there where the
wild ones play
Can they just see better
Are we really the advanced
The dog with no worries?
Yet he howls at the moon
Good jazzy blues band at nola tonight
Guess i'm spoiled
Yet i do always like to stay near
the live sounds
Got my eye on a 3 string cigar box guitar
right now, use w/a stubby slide
Tune it right and play that raga blues sound
Been my musical direction these past 10 years
Really ever since i first heard on the road again
by canned heat way back in the day
Took awhile but with electronics and some awesome
musicians i got there for 1 album and twenty some more tracks in the can
Everytime i think about staying at the daily grind,
I realize there's not much time left, so why stay?
A week off just showed me that my knees hurt less
Just gave me enough rest to start the real work
Now it's time to go back
Been the story for 41 years
All about lifestyle
Having a decent place to stay
Eat good food
Have little fun without holding back
I've had a taste of that to, keeps me working
That's the bottom slime, i guess
Just gotta bang a gong and get it on like trex said

the ss pays my half of the bills round here
gonna snag some part-time job to put
spending money in my pocket for bikes & whatnot
a billion used bikes out there
man i want to learn how to build my own bike from the ground up
build myself a rat-bike for exactly how i ride
but i do want one new minty-in-the-box one
got my eye on it too - hoping come tax time
to be able to hook her
o hell let me stop or i'll be jammin' on this shit
for the next 12 feet
after ya pop that 62 you can go on workin if ya want
or cut the other way and find a way thru
it will be up to you
it ain't heaven but i can say
it's nice spending your days

it was the bicycle got me out on the road in the first place
when i was eight years old
& now here they are again
come round to rescue me
as long as i can grip a handlebar & pump a pedal
looks like i'll be ending up
the way i began for as long as i can

they say big winds
comin' thru beginning this afternoon
quiet now just small breezes
and still mild
chked out shane speal vid
& his vid on his collection of cigarbox guitars
didn't know 'til yesterday these things existed
but when he played some of those guitars
i recognized the sound they made
having heard it in blues music
all up and down the line all these years i been listening
just didn't know what i was hearing
was coming from these instruments
enjoyed the discovery & the enlightenment - thx Mark -
