nothin' changed

Post by the mingo » December 3rd, 2013, 11:36 am

was just reading Ikkyu's Crow With No Mouth
on the john
right in the middle of everything
came across this gem -

"nobody knows shit
nobody lives anywhere
hello dust !"

started laughing
turned into a laugh riot
couldn't stop -
didn't even have time to fasten my seatbelt
had to stretch out my arm
& lean against the tub
to keep from falling off the crapper
with my pants down at my ankles
even now writing this
i am taken with genuine fits
of pure joy

Ikkyu ! Thank You !
your grave is 9000 miles from here
& you are five centuries dead
& ain't nothin' changed !
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

its all a big mystery
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
