day tripper

Post by saw » December 17th, 2013, 9:35 am

trim the jib
let out the spinnaker
lean your face into the wind goddess
taste her skin
lick the spray from the slicing hull
ancient salt
finds the needy tongue
summon the trident of Neptune
spear defective cells

kill the loitering sea serpents

smell the ocean's ferocity
touch the horizon's nimble fingers
hear all the voices
ancient mariners calling
across the cloudless sky
jettison your rotting flesh
feed it to the baby fish
embrace the forgiveness
of a second chance
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
