Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!
mean drunks
some people don't need no whiskey
but still I always been a happy drunk
seems like jack was too
no sense wondering what went on in those St Pete bars
I remember the man for what he wrote
Pauncho wore his skin like leather
I know about that
quarter inch cracks in my hands
my hands more like claws than hands
what we do for the legal tender
let me roll boys let me roll

Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!
Jammin life
Good for the
performance
Triangulate
We need u ST
Mission accomplished
with 3
Things become real jam
Sticky
Sweet
St. Jack would be with us
Maybe he is
No maybe's
He's here
We keep him alive
Like a balloon that
we keep knocking & bouncing
up into the blue yonder
Reading WSB today
Word Virus anthology
Really enjoying his writing
after all these years
Came upon him and AG way
after St. Jack & Gary Snyder
I do remember Ginsberg on the
evening news back in '68 at the
Chicago convention
I came to writing via Jack & Henry Miller
Had a Corso volume way back in early '70s
Was into Kenneth Patchen too.
He's lost with time and it's a shame
"Poets?!?!"
I remember Ron Ray the trumpet player
referring to me as part and parcel of that ilk
Never thought of myself as such an animal
Still I only write poetry occasionally
More a performance guy
& of course a Jammer!

Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!
So grateful for those years on litkicks
knew nothing about the beats
I was an ignorant child the winter of 2000/1
Spent a lot of time on the Flames board
after awhile I started thinking of it as my Zen Board
cause I was walking around with my fly unzipped
yabyum said
true enough
Hell I even hit on judih
I was dam near suicidal with the thought that my best fucking days were gone
after twenty years I thought of no woman no cry
but now fourteen years later I am resigned to it, no longer miss it, cause it aint one woman I want anymore, it's all of them.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of women
don't you love them all
women of a certain age
how some of them are blessed with an eternal beauty, was it St Jack who said he never made love to an ugly woman?
Henry Miller, he kills me.
Burroughs a powerful man
I know nothing of his work, it is his life that informs me
trying to figure out if this is the face of Botox™
or not?

Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!
"for as all true lovers know
true love is perfect kindness" love and the goddess joe campbell
money never could buy me love
except for once when I was 14
it dam near ruined me
never go there again
I can't imagine though sometimes I try to imagine it
my fucking vanity I suppose
that I still believe in free love
true love
how many true love's does a man get in a life time,
jesus, how many times have I walked away from true love
with a feeling of unworthiness
yes free your mind
of guilt
I used to be smart but never was as smart as Kierkegaard
at least twice,
in my life I found true love
no three times
once in my twenties
once in my thirties
and the last time at forty
now it is been thirty four years since my last no woman no cry
except for my dream lover
the woman in the shadows who comes to me in my dreams
I love silent woman tell the world I do
and if I can't have love and peace give me bitter fame.
let me write the stories that make the young girls cry.

Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!

jam on jam
a performance jam
in text boxes
what I was trying to say about kerouac and technology
he worked in a carbon based technology
pen and ink
typewriters
paper
automobiles
we got this net this hyperreality
another space
of machines of loving grace
thaumaturgical silicon machines
that keeps us connected in a world wide jam of images words sounds
oh man what would jack be doing
he would be out there on the front door leading the bleeding age of a multimedia apocalypse
ride um cowboy
hammer down jack
too easy
too much noise
addicted to the grid
need to sit on my hands for awhile mr tamborouine mand
watch the dylan super bowl commercial
do you think he did it for the money
or did he do it for the art
from his patriotic heart
his love for the oh can you see
Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!
Good question 'bout Bob
Blows me away
Couldn't be the money
Probably is
Hope he didn't write the text
I dunno
Laugh it off mr. Zimmerman
Pose as some kinda beat godfather
in a pool hall
William did it with nike
He'll I'd do it
Although not when I was younger
Unable to look at the big picture
That shit down the road
Maybe that's the next song I write
The shit gonna come, down that road
Yer road
My road
Their road
All the roads filled with caca
Let me get old like Henry miller
Lap of luxury
Well deserved I might say
He always used this
"Don't you know?"
Throughout conversations
I've heard or seen of him
I'm on my last of the Beats circuit with WSB
Never knew his writings till recently
He's bit more interesting as character
In perpetual jam endures
Cold nights
Short daze
A time for rest
Acceptance
A hard pill to swallow
Jam on me!
Blows me away

Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!
god dam old henry could write sometimes I want to hate the cocksucker but jesus I wish I was half as smart as he was, someone called him a "name dropper' on some review website. But fuck no, sounds to me like was talking about old friends in that book what the hell else would a memoir drop if not names of friends
that ain't name droppin, I on the other hand — am a name dropper that is why it breaks my heart everytime I try to read old henry. He never drops names like Freud or Nietzsche, but you can beat your rod that he read them extensively and that they inform his work
Like a shot of xstacy
I'd be in between some
Strippers bosom
rockin my soul
reminds me of a john prine song about eating a lot of peaches moving to the country and try to find jesus on your own
rock on mi amigo
did you have fun on your run?

Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!
Texas weather swings like a pendulum
seventy-six and fair yesterday
damp cold and fog today
freezing rain tomorrow
in the seventies again by the week end
I live for those upswings of spring
sitting here chillin by the electric heater
thinking about Dan McGee in his oven
About St Sylvia in her cold water flat in London
I been thinking too many cold thoughts
I need to put on sweater
have me a nice glass of hot tea
and pick this up later

Re: perpetual jam!!!!!!!!!
Baltimore show went good
People there to listen
My friend Jaime Wilson
playing an electronic wave drum
Raga style
Me dancing words
Arms flying
Feet shuffling
Toes tappin in the audience
At an art gallery
Was good
Snow all the way back
Had to cancel Nola show
Hung out got toasted

Snow Blind
++++++++++
Lulls in the proceedings
Snow drifting in back courtyard
It'd be too easy to get drunk
Them wet snowballs flying
Hold little interest for me
Tinariwen on the tunes
Desert camp fires
Chilled hush of starry night
Warm feelings beneath
Blanket of snow
All is silence bathed
In white & gray
Crackle of sacred fire
