THIS GRIEF MY SON.

Post by dadio » February 12th, 2014, 4:31 am

This grief
has teeth

my son
it bites through

skin and bone
tearing at heart

and mind
(the deeper

the love
the harder

the pain
I find)

this grief
with its pearly whites

gnaws at me
through dull days

and dark nights
trying to drag me

to dark depths
shaking me

like a dog with bone
bringing me

to deep hurts
and aching moan

this grief
holds hard

bites deep
taking me

to dark dawns
and black dogs

of sunset red
and echoing memories

in numb
and hurting head

this grief has teeth
my son

biting through
bone and skin

tearing me within
but memories remain

strong and clear
and bright

which will
sustain me

through many
a deep dark night.

i feel ya- nice write-
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

grief in one way or another is forever...we learn to cope at best....it's also a necessary process
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

Very touching and heart wrenching. My heart goes out to you. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

one of the things about loss that is so horrible is the thoughts 'no one understands how i feel- and that lonliness and even anger that this has to be a portion of acceptance-- i hope that the hole that you feel in your heart is filled with golden light and healing- and that you allow the person you love to touch you there- even though it seems like they are not here- anymore- i know that just by calling out to them with my heart- that they feel me- and i feel them-
letting go is so sad sometimes- because maybe we do not want to- at all- and sometimes that is even selfish- my granny was 92 and i didnt want her to go- but she hadda go-

i am sure that you are filled with love like mariposa butterflies in the sun- just let the flapping wings and butterfly dust carry you to the next level- my throat is all big now like a frog- because emot 8) ions are like that- peace
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
