in dreams

Post by sonofthesun » March 7th, 2014, 2:33 am

i find myself alone a-a-and
unafraid
at
home tonight
in my dreams
i find myself alone tonight
in
my dreams
im
dead tonight
in
my dreams
found all my lost socks tonight
in my dreams
whats
the meaning of this
my dreams
if only to be able to make se-ense
of what
I feel
whats the meaning of this
i sing
im
alone tonight
in my dreams
help me find the li-ight
in my dreams

read it like a song...some of the single word lines hold longer or add emphasis to...and yeah...however you think it works best.

back story...a week ago i dreamed i died and i also found all my lost socks. dont think they were connected, but maybe, unsure, as i was dreaming, just two things i remember from that night's repose.
There is no empty space

- i too- feel a spacil joy when one sock is united sfter much confusion with it s mate
death is sometimes - a re-birth- and = sometimes not-
maybe slow down
it could be a warning
take the time to put on matching sox bro
or
move somewhere - that you dont need them
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

In my dream I am dead
looking at my naked feet
with a DOA tag on my big toe

I don't know for sure why that bit about the socks cheered me up.
I guess at my age it just don't take much to make me happy
one of the blessings of longevity I suppose
Don't mind me, I'm just trying to work off some weight.
What has this got to do with my missing laundry?

liked the poem a lot 8)
thank you for writing
please pardon my meandering
and multiple replies with different user names
