from desert dust to poet roads

Post by mnaz » April 22nd, 2014, 7:49 pm

(remembering litkicks roadgoing, 2003-04)

I left lone wolf trails behind
what lunacy! rolling thousands of miles
to meet people known by only pixels on a screen
no longer only silent rock shaped from stardust
but artists who live on that moment of shape

I found a crazy place where poems twist
and tangle around each other, sing together
punch each other in the head
bathe in radiant streams
swim muddy rivers of rage

poets were once beat, or dead
now they type in text boxes
simple glory to wild freakout
adolescent gushing, absurd tendrils
a billion screams in the machine
spontaneous combustions of art
language and image

how will art survive the digital shift?
life blood in blocks of bloodless digits
jazz used to be crazy, jagged streams
of cool dada fury off fronts of blown reality
now I have the crazy poets in a box
as I roll and scroll their way

i love this
i like the poets place = nice spot-
really i love the emotion- i mean -this is like waves in the sea- duck dive under-
but really
i love the writing you do-have a lovely week- 8)
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

welcome with open minds to the mysteriously populated cyber-world,
drifting within it's own constellation of billions of pixels giving birth to
a cacophony of letters spelling out hopes, dreams, wishes and prayers
and digitized pictures of a world beyond our ability to visit - a world
without smells or touch, not even a heartbeat can be felt in this desert
of make-believe brought to a semblance of life by our fingertips
tap... tap.. tapping out the latest morse code converting ideas into words.

thx for the inspiration, amigo... a fine piece you have woven! ;)

thanks judih, creativesoul, Arcadia, Atehequa and Cec ... like wireman says, those were amazing times. and they came when I had freedom and a good pickup truck. It was a "big zig-zag"--- quite a run, to oregon, texas, cali and colorado... never made it back east, though I wish i'd gone. glorious amok did it right-- caught road fever, all the way through four time zones to meet up with hester. I almost met "knip," but just missed him. maybe just as well-- might have ended up arguin' politics ... yeah, it was a good run. sometimes I feel like getting back out there ...
