nowhere to be safe

Post by mnaz » April 28th, 2014, 12:22 am

california has its liberal earthquakes
san diego will slide off into the ocean
mark my words, florida has hurricanes
kansas has tornadoes, green and gray sky
the colors of life until upside-down
there is nowhere to go to be safe

here at the tipping point of everything
my church left me adrift without a god
a spiritual revival in every blood-stained ditch
the battle rattles on to hear its own insanity

originally meant to post this on a different site (baltimore), but wimped out.

I really should put my days of religious programming behind me. not sure what good it does to carry that stuff around with me ...

thanks, judih.

As you have written, those days of religious programming are still what you follow ("put (them behind me") does not mean you will never ever remember those lessons no more than you can dismiss every grade in your schooling... every lesson is but yet another step towards the answers that you wish to know. True, if those early days are still leading you around should be "cut from the leash" so you may continue moving forward, progressing to greater truths. ;)

nice piece you've written here, amigo.

atheism makes more sense to me than blind faith...tho i did like the band....but some might argue there are those that follow their non-believe like a strict religion....can't win, ha

anyway, you said a lot.... with great economy and grace

i dunno- making sense- well- i think everybody has kind of gone bonkers, nuts, coo- coo
i think safe is a cherry tree and a shady spot- i think in the short term- but my frenz the PREPPERS they have food for five years=
dunno about 50 pounds of lentils-
with or with out Godthat is too much
boring food
will there be good ice cream after the california earthquake= san diego= and all that archetecture
and cultures colliding on the streets
mexcio
and better yet
hawaii will rise out of the sea
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

I guess we all seek safety and the lack of it undermines our sense of being. Fine work.

Sacred safety is a different than physical safety
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
