they say

Post by whoaisme » August 7th, 2014, 5:59 pm

they say

they say loneliness is
a fate of genius but
do they
mean
being alone?

and who is to say, but me,
what of me is
and is not genius?

a bowl of cereal
its raining
salty tears
its raining
galons of warm milk
its raining

belchtoheavengenius
scartchassgenius
holeinsockgenius
dustedbookgenius
spidertoothgenius

its raining
from the cold sky
its raining
in my scold'd eyes

they will say if
this is or is not
sincere.

i will say yes, yes
maybe i'm drunk
and yes, yes
maybe i have
never touch'd any
thing beneath
my scalp
unalter'd

I like that you make a distinction between loneliness and being alone....and point out that "they"
will always be able to make judgements as "they" choose,

the sooner we embrace our uniqueness, the sooner we cease to worry about all the

they-sayers
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

all a lone
one
is a rarity
i tend to rush out to my selves when given a chance
being alone takes discipline

I though I was lonely once,
even thought I felt it, though,
it wasn't loneliness, but rather alone-ness...
quite a different thing... in me.

@ saw: yes, two very different things. i find myself really craving to be alone, especially on the weekends. i give a lot of myself to this world, and sometimes just need to be by myself for sometime.

@ judih: i love that line "i tend to rush out to my selves when given a chance"! discipline, indeed! 8)

@ justwalt: this "alone-ness," i dig that cuz that's what i was getting at!

thank you for your responses.

peace!

coming from alone
traveling to alone
so much magic
to be felt along the
way.....i sit by myself
at the bar, a tap on the
shoulder and union abounds

alone, alone, alone, it can be
a home until you come out to play..... 8)
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

been alone
been lonely even in a room full of people
so it isnt
solitude?
been craving alone time
tired as i have ver been
cannot get off the couch
too hot

but i like it
there is no one that is the boss of me
and i do not have hurry home
and i like that
i cook when i want to
that is really nice too

but do i miss the wrap myself around you sickness?
oh yeah i do
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
