zane grey eyes

Post by saw » August 22nd, 2014, 7:20 pm

oh give me a poem
where the buffalo roam
and the skies are not cloudy all day
where epiphany rays bend down
to kiss the ground and peaks stand purple
and proud as a sonnet on LSD
where Larry McMurtry and Edward Albee
paint pastel mind paintings
on easels hung from joshua trees
so impossibly close to truth
as prairie dogs do silly dances
and coyotes serenade the open heart
and c'mon, can anyone ever have all the right words
are there any..... in any language
to capture what my eyes have written
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

oh give me a home
where the buffalo roam

oops they did

and the skies are filled with canupa smoke all day
oops they gave me that

and the cantalope they play all day
yeah well
maybe this nomad thing
is more then we thought
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

".. impossibly close to truth" .. Yes, and it's everywhere.

And "easels hung from Joshua trees" .. I love that too.
Hard to capture epiphany rays in words, and it's always been like that.
