Come at us with yet another brilliant battle plan
Attempt to attain what you can never understand
Older than anthropomorphic gods created by man
Haughtily in their name go about tainting the land
Your influence and hypocrisy mean nothing at all
Just another coward hiding behind a shield wall
Your resplendent generals have pretty names
Bleating sheep, clucking hens and cawing crows
Another perfumed Hellene fop fanning the flames
Now smaller and less bright as the fear of us grows
I see their faint flickering glow from across the river
Drawing steel while laying down my bow and quiver
Your companion cavalrymen are none too brave
As we of the steppes are more fierce than Persians
Too fearful to cross the Jaxartes, you girlish knave?
Do try to continue your unwelcome armed intrusions
Victorious thus far, having only your luck to thank
Come alone and meet me upon the opposite bank
Satraces issues a challenge
Re: Satraces issues a challenge
i dig this in these turbulent times.....gonna have to search several of the names u have used like Satraces and Jaxartes, but i will when i have the time, they do not throw any roadblocks in my way to interpreting what u are getting at Atehequa.....
damn sure feel this deserves some more responses.....

me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....
Re: Satraces issues a challenge
Alexander's crown jewel I guess....how long has man been going to war ?.....as long as there were men....for all sorts of reasons that they can justify with quests of righteousness....and as Wireman suggested still front and center of national agendas....
so as I see it we have progressed from the catapults of 300 BC that launched boulders into the skies, to flying drones with lethal warheads that are far more effective killers
progress ?

If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
