where did history of humans come from
do you want your poetry to be nice and neat
what does it take to be understood in your own time
so as to be taken at your word so as to be understood
if I speak of personal experience so as to be universal
as much as I appreciate the idea of transcendence
I believe that the reality of revolution is total
not a word goes by that doesn't amount to a hill
of beans and bones, all your theories of free will
everybody thinks they know better then the next person
how did we arrive at this juncture of jagged judgements
based on some totally incomprehensible language in a book
all that written down stuff once was only by word of mouth
passed down to those who were trusted to keep the word
from becoming something that could be traded for deception
something that only perception could be applied to by clarity
when did some cause become the because that makes excuses
for those who would pull the wool over our eyes, once again
those who speak of sin are the ones who hide from them
those who cry foul need to look in their own backyards
what about that is not just so obvious to you who pull the wool back
you who who push away the veil of illusion to confront the confusion
