lost anniversaries

Post by saw » September 1st, 2014, 5:41 pm

sexy sax
hummin' down low
a corner of the back porch resonates,
potted plants
sway a bit
centrifugal waves invisible, but there

variegated leaves vibrate
dance against the blackness of the background night
lit softly
strands of white fairy lights strung along
the railing, mingle with colored flames
scented candles present themselves, then linger

gentle summer wind, chimes support the jazz
burlesque tones,
the carefully chosen gifts lovingly wrapped
many days before
have been hiding in the closet
now arranged on the outdoor table top near the chilling wine

it's our anniversary,

but you never show up

I wait until midnight

til two a.m.

at three it hits me

she's never coming

it's over
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

oh my god that was heart breaking-i was there- and excited=-and i look around at my ife today and i think about how i am far too afraid to try - wheni go out with anyone- geez- it is like they want to hurt me- why?
because i cannot be tamed- i am sure of it- but= ih a person that did what you did- is so loving-
wish it was for me
now my sons find love-
and i am grateful for this-
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

love makes everything perfect but nothing stays perfect too long - when i celebrate any anniversary now it's usually not with the ended or the over but with the dead - one of the many prices the living must pay - enjoyed, saw, thx
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

touched by your words steve
never a mistake, the experience
lasts forever.
my 1st in august of 74, truth is
the exact date escapes me
lifes funny that way
the second in 81 i believe it was
sept. 17th, today is her birthday
and for some reason i'm tentative
to even wish her a happy, even on
facebook, the bad taste about
what happened lingers to this very day
my third anniversary is never forgotten
for it was june 21st 2002, when i married
carole jean and signed the big book in
B'more city hall with her, she's passed on
over 4 years now, my memories fond, my being at peace,
for acceptance is the key through it all, maybe i'd feel better
saying happy birthday to my 2nd wife on FB, it's all been so long gone,
yeah i think i'll go do it right now, before i go out to nola later
to sing one of my performance songs, water under the bridge, yes it's
all part of the flow....thanks again for your words, i'm touched by them
immensely, and wanted u to know it my friend.
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

Excellent expression of emotions. I felt that sinking feeling.
