Indentured Servant

Post by Atehequa » September 3rd, 2014, 8:24 pm

Soon will come my time of healing
All hinges upon surviving until then
Not allowed to speak of how I am feeling
Yet in front of me is paper and a pen

You have been a cruel taskmaster
Allowing me just enough to stay alive
Pushing me to work much harder and faster
All but sapping my will to survive

The long years of indentured service
Punishment to break both body and soul
Now left with little sense of being and purpose
For far too long I have toiled in this hole

Soon it will be almost twenty years
The price of passage, I have endured pain
Ink upon paper occasionally tinging with tears
Flowing and dripping upon ball and chain

One wet Autumn day I will dry my eyes
Cast off this yoke which has burdened me
Break this rusty lock that was forged from lies
From you my remaining days will be free

Enduring enslavement both mean and cruel
I shall journey far, several hundred miles away
How you will get along without your indentured mule
Will trouble me not upon a better, brighter day

can totally relate, I was nothing but a slave to my employer...a body that he was comfortable in whipping , because the only concern for middle managers is bringing up the impossible numbers, keeping their boss off their back....but of course the game is rigged, and we all wink and nod and pretend that these goals are attainable....capitalism will steal your soul from your chest and eat it, if you allow it.....we must all find ways to cope.....many poets here speak of the outdoors and nature as one of the ways you can cling to your sanity...,poetry is also a great way to cope.....it saved my life
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

fucking great
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

.
>> End Indentured Servitude PLUS Eliminate Poverty & Fix the Economy. Here's How We Can Do It.

(This is not the best article in that it doesn't include all the options being proposed ... the over 21 mention isn't exactly what's being proposed. This would be for ALL citizens, even children. I've watched hours of videos and read countless articles about this and it could work. The proposals aren't just for the US. Many countries are working out details. I suspect Switzerland will have this in effect in the near future. Canada is also well on its way.)
