i love true stories about the present
i just love a woman with an enthusiastic prefrontal cortex too
also i'm looking for my gloves - i had them yesterday
however i don't think i'd ever wear a bowtie and gloves
complications like that can lead one to the belief
that someday there will be golf courses in antarctica
- if it's not going to occur in your lifetime what's the point?
wah-na-wahoo - you're welcome - a chicken sandwich with mayo, butter, salt & pepper on thick home-baked bread would be a hell of a breakfast jam 'bout now -
talk about first thoughts
sometimes they unroll like an ammo belt
for a fifty caliber machine gun
i love the stacatto burst of jamfire in the morning
with the radar goin' blip-blip-blip
and the radioman calling in for
close artillery support
Ka boom boom BOOM !

rapid fire
jam
mind blank
cept for
word visions
up on stage
magic
words appear
like mind
movies
groovealiscious
thoughts abound
i remember in b'more
it happened like
magic
mind opened
words poured out
voice lean and mean
like a 1st thought
preacher
aint for the shy
or the holders back
not a holler
mind me
nor a shout
like a loud
roar
lions roar proud
yet loud
at poetry shows
poets be too quiet
specially at a bar
people say turn the volume
up up up
i say it is up
all the way
its up to them at that
point
dynamics
loud n proud i say
some can write it
some can speak it
but when the words
are right
and ya roar
like a big cat
now that shuts the
drinkers up
and everyone
is listening
yeah i learned
that fast
dynamics
no namby pamby
if ya want em to
hear the words ya say
shoooooooooo
am i rollin or what?
jam on me
do all them other
jammers not realize
we're doin this daily?
do they really need
a "designated time?"
a certain day
a sanctioned jam
its here perpetually folks
jump on in with me
and mingo
the waters fine
come on in and play
its fun
when u release unto
the jammmmmmmmmm!!!
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

came
saw
no conquer
no takeover
no blunder
sometimes
i wonder
spells they
were under
no need to
fear, underdog
is here
simon says
marco polo
lacoste crocodile
dundee major
had it all
backwards
still the visions
lead to times
spent on the
other side
to jam or
not to jam
that aint no ?

j.m.w. turner dreams
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
or is it i
we put our tools
away after work
yet someone forgets theirs
nobody cares
my ride awaits
but i care
there are keys
atop the box
as Edwin exits
via unknown stairs
i try to call
my cell phone
turns to air
i turn
the box is there
covered in fabrics
i lift them
the keys are gone
the floor has changed
a dark haired girl
approaches and smiles
the phone appears
again
i try to call juan
he's sleepy
doesnt know who i am
"my ride, i missed my ride"
he doesnt comprehend
we sit
me and the girl
she smiles
so knowingly
as if she wants
me to stay
we watch 2 tv's
the show
i cant remember
its dark
i wonder why
im here now
i cannot leave
another beauty appears
we look
we all smile
so knowingly
the place is up the
street from where
i lived in baltimore
but different
some kind of college dorm
we look down on my old place
its different
i see more young people
milling inside
my old place
i tell her i lived
there many years before
i want to say alone
but i dont
i fumble for my cell phone
which i cannot find
the girls go through a door
i can hear them
on the other side
i sit and wonder
a different girl enters
we talk
we laugh at the tv's
her friend enters
tall and red haired
we all go to the window
i show them my old place
its below us
they smile
the red haired one
lights a joint
all twisted jaggedly
she gives it to me
i inhale
then bite the end off
the smoke comes thru
i pass it, and she wipes
the end
we go past the tv's
thru a hall
out a door
and to a roof
lotsa students there
male and female
they sit
i sit down behind them
real hard on the metal roof
we all laugh
i awake with a start......
i woke up
looked around at the mess
picked the tale of the fox & rabbit
up off the floor
threw it in the trash
looked around at all the other things
that needed to be shitcanned too
saw myself in the mirror
& got to work
sometimes it's night
with all it's sounds
crickets
people coming & going
all this talking on the phone
years go wasting away
we shrug our shoulders
as if it ain't our fault
when all we mean is
we don't know what to say
all around me - humanity
with the need for food
and the wanting things to work out
in my cupboard
an unopened box
of shredded wheat
