oh! beautiful saffron coloured flowers. This colour is the most delicious heart quencher in the world. Excellent banner, doreen!

about outdoor cafes - i don't go. Ever!
but i do go in fields. Perhaps i'll think of bringing along a camera.

Thanks, judih -
Cecil's poppies banner is one of my favorites, too! I'm glad you like the April Fool's jester banner.... I was psyched last night when I put it up and you replied within seconds, so I reacted with all those bouncy smilies. :)

Jimbo-
That's a jester's leg on the right hand side. No foolin'! Could you tell? Just wondering. LR said he didn't realize it was a leg and a foot. Glad you like it! Thanks much! :D

Hope to see you both over at the fool's Jam later today.... I'll most likely be late. Busy work day. But I'll be there tonight, for sure.

that's definitely a leg on the right!

(won't be able to fool around tonight, as i'm still busy preparing materials for a sports fair we're attending with our booth tomorrow and sunday, but am wishing you all a fullfledged fuelery and folly!)

now i say this one is by doreen because she already has been shooting pictorial compositions from simple ordinary structural features as a corner of a wall where it meets the ceiling, or a stairwell from an unusual perspective, so here she is laying down the colors a sideways view just right for laying down flat washes.....cool!
kind of a bold composition, actually, because the bold almost metallic bars at the left, blue and purple, frame the calm interior of the stairwell, like a front door.....
Yet the interior has a high contrast with bright interior light as well, with a dark space enhancing the luminosity, so it rings out with a mysterious glow!!
You don't even appreciate your own work sometimes until somebody else checks it out!!! :!:

Thanks judih & jimbo!

You got all that out of it, Jim? Wow! ;) too cool.

Here's the original photo - I took it at night last summer at a hotel on the ocean where we were staying.

I love todays banner....the bench on the beach by pierre bouchard and doreen.

Someone plunk me on that bench and I'll sit there and die happy!
I used to walk with my head in the clouds but I kept getting struck by lightning!
Now my head twitches and I drool alot. Anonymouse

Thanks jimbo and mousey1 !

I need to get with it.... I have a hard time keeping up with documenting the banners on this thread and the other one so people know what the posts are referring to. Sorry about that... but thank you both for your kind comments.

I'm honored so many members are sharing their work to be used for the banners. It's fun changing them!

Thanks to all who have contributed.... and yeah, jimbo, scan and send to me, ok? ;)

Yo! Dor' !! I sure like what you did do that picture! An ingenious and creative addition to an othewise plain jane downtown (Alamogordo, NM).

Congrats... and thank you! I luv it.
