clock s

Post by creativesoul » October 4th, 2014, 12:27 am

i was given a clock today
been wide awake at night
looking at the stars
wishing i could reach out and touch them

like i did for you once
maybe twice
the energy you were gifted
was never lifted

the loose wires
siliently retired
that time is calling me out
singing dollars and cents
sense less and blind
walking into the fog

30 years later
some things cannot be erased

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

there's no watch
on my wrist
but still i glance
at it
from time to time

lonely bones.

cell phones b the watch and alarm clock in these times, its wild to see people with a watch on, yet i do see um....i never. could wear one anyway, too dangerous in construction, rings on fingers too.....they might get caught in a crane pick and off witha finger or even a hand.....i need my cell phone for work and about half that need is for keeping time and waking me at 3:55 am......of the few watches ive ever had they all ended up in the washing machine after i put em in my pocket 8)
me I feel like I'm becoming some kinda Kung fu t.v. Priest.....

i must add that - you should never be eaten by a clock either- it is life consuming-
in italy they ring the church bells every hour
on certain towns along the railroad they toot really loud horns in case
there are junkies or drunks on the tracks
in mill towns you hear loud whistles
when i was bored and drunk
i would talk to a phone operator in the south of italy
he =i never met
had a very nice voice
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
